The materials listed were cut with WAZER using abrasive particles (garnet) at a rate of 0.33lb (0.15kg) per minute. WAZER uses garnet, made specifically for waterjets, which must be continually purchased in order to operate the machine. Abrasive will be available for purchase on our website, but WAZER will also work with approved third party suppliers. WAZER cannot engrave or etch your parts. It is designed for thru-cutting only. Trying to etch with waterjet cutting puts a lot of wear and stress on the internal components and will void your warranty.

The mosaic features 15 conventional quatrefoils that are each inlayed within a singular surrounding tile - an aesthetic that is only possible with waterjet cutting. The tiles are ⅜” (10mm) thick. In total, the project involved 1 hour and 35 minutes of WAZER cut time and used 31 pounds (14kg) of abrasive. Each pair of quatrefoil and surrounding square (of the same color) came from the same tile, so the width of the grout corresponds to the width of WAZER’s cut.
David designed the Pheonix directly with an X-ACTO knife and paper. He took photos of the paper cuts and the team converted them to .DXF files in Photoshop. The entire project took 34 minutes to cut on WAZER and used 11 pounds (5kg) of abrasive.
Stacey is a jeweler and artist who spends a lot of time hand cutting. She cuts intricate shapes in thousands of individual coins for her work, and has been looking for an automated cutting method so she can save her hands and make more jewelry at a lower cost (right now her necklaces sell for $600!). Other solutions were way too expensive, so WAZER was an obvious choice for her. She’s been one of our earliest fans. Check out more of Stacey's work at www.staceyleewebber.com
Designed and built by Cyclist and WAZER Engineer Christian Moore, this custom belt drive was a longtime dream of Christian’s and finally made possible with the help of WAZER. The belt is quieter than a typical chain and is also cleaner, sleeker and does not rust. Christian could not find the right combination of off-the-shelf parts to make this happen - so he had to go custom, and the result is exactly what he wanted.
The knife was made from 4mm-thick D2 tool-steel and the handle from a combination of 2mm copper and carbon fiber sheets. In total the project involved 1 hour 58 minutes of cut time on WAZER a consumed 39 pounds (18kg) of abrasive.
